A Music Lover's Paradise There’s always something musical going on at The Oaks RV Resort in Bushnell, Florida— and opportunities galore to join in the fun. Weekly Jam Sessions invite all players, singers and listeners to some lively impromptu evenings.Sing-a-longs can happen anytime—indoors or out. And there’s also a group that meets weekly for Choir Practice. During the winter season, each month will feature several nights of live music for dancing and special musical guest performances.From Broadway to country with some swing in between—the musical variety here at The Oaks is enjoyable and unending.
Shuffleboard & Horse Shoes Our eight shuffleboard courts are centrally located and stay busy. Close by, three well-maintained horseshoe pits see a lot of action, morning & afternoon.Whether you like to shuffle or pitch, it’s easy to get into a game and tournaments are organized throughout the winter.
Golf Take yourchoice! There are 6 courses open to the public that are located within 25 miles of The Oaks. The park league pools together once a week to drive and play one of these 9 or 18 hole courses.
Swimming & Walking Both activities are easy to enjoy anytime at The Oaks. The heated pool and out door spa are in use year ‘round. Mornings find a lot of walkers waving to each other on the campground’s tree-lined interior roads.
Bus Trips & Organized Activities Each month brings a new schedule of group trips and events. Our Activities Director is famous for organizing trips to some of the very best designations and attractions for sightseeing, shopping & dining. Her annual Mystery Trip has become a must for anyone with a sense of adventure!
Crafts, Quilting, Cards, Bingo & Pool Tables Craft & quilting classes gather weekly to exchange ideas and work on projects together. Afternoon and evening card players will find it easy to find a game of Euchre, Bridge, Tripoli, 31, Cribbage, Hand & Foot and more. Bingo is very big 2 nights a week in the Big Hall, and the Billiard Room with 4 pool tables is open every day and evening for our guests.
Church Service Non-denominational Church services are held Sunday mornings in the Big Hall. Additionally, the Bushnell area is home to churches of many faiths. Many campers also get together for Bible Study each week.
Great Food! The cooking crew, called the “Oaks’ Cooks” prepare delicious breakfast & dinners, bringing folks together in the Big hall regularly. Around the holidays you’ll smell turkey & ham baking all day. Burger Day serves up some terrific burgers cooked & served outdoors by the pool & gazebo.
